FAGOR enclosed linear measuring systems are protected against dust, chips and liquids and
are ideal for machine tools. The aluminum profile protects the graduated scale and the rubber
sealing lips from dust and liquid splashes as the reader head moves along the profile. The
reader head and the graduated glass make up a balanced tandem capturing and transmitting
the position and movement of the machine. The friction between the reader head and the
graduated scale is minimum.
Within the manufacturing program, linear systems are available either with a standard profile or
a wide one that makes them robust enough for measuring lengths up to 30 m. However, and for
applications that require them, linear systems with a narrow profile are also available for a
useful measuring length up to 1,540 mm.
